Training courses at Greensleeves Care

At Greensleeves Care, we believe we have some of the best training in the older people’s care sector. We make training a priority because:

  • Dedicated Staff at Greensleeves CareTraining is the key to ensuring that the good people we recruit become great carers
  • We want to retain those great carers
  • We want to give our residents a safe, happy and positive life
  • Residents’ families trust us to do the best for their loved ones

Many care home providers outsource their training to electronic-learning or online modules. This often involves the member of staff sitting at home in their own-time and without being paid watching a video or reading a computer screen. This remote learning often culminates with a multiple-choice test that can be taken until  a pass is achieved.

The Greensleeves Care difference

Almost all the training we deliver is done in the care homes by our professional, experienced and knowledgeable training team.  Importantly, all our training is conducted while staff are being paid.

Because it is face-to-face training, colleagues that do not understand can ask a question, see a different perspective or do the class again.  We also provide one-to-one support to a team member where required.

Each member of our care teams completes a minimum 60-hours’ training per year.   This drives the high quality of care we provide and is why we are so highly recommended by residents and families. In 2017, the leading care review website carehome.co.uk reported that 99% of people that submitted a review on the site were “likely or extremely likely” to recommend Greensleeves Care homes to someone else.
