Training courses at Greensleeves Care

At Greensleeves Care, we believe we have some of the best training in the older peoples care sector. We make training an absolute priority because:

  • Dedicated Staff at Greensleeves CareTraining is the key to ensuring that the good people we recruit become great carers
  • We want to retain those great carers once they start working with us rather than lose them
  • We want to give our residents a safe, happy and positive life
  • Our family carers trust us to do the best for their loved ones

Most care home companies are not like Greensleeves Care!  Instead of conducting their own training they outsource all of their training to electronic-learning or on-line courses. This often involves the member of staff sitting at home, in their own-time without being paid watching a video or reading a computer screen.  This tells them what they need to know and then gives them a multiple-choice test.  If they do not pass, they get to keep on taking it until they do, often without another review of the course.

The Greensleeves Care difference

Because we are different, almost all training we deliver is done in the care homes by our own highly professional, experienced and knowledgeable training team.  And all training is conducted whilst the staff are being paid.

Because it is face-to-face training, colleagues that do not understand can ask a question, see a different perspective or do the class again.   We can even provide 1-2-1 support to any team member if so required.

Each member of our care team completes no less than 60-hours’ training every year.   This is what drives our high care quality and is why we are so highly recommended by residents and families. is the leading care review website due to the number of visits each year.  In fact, some people refer to it as “TripAdvisor” for care homes! In 2017 over 99% of people that submitted a review on the site said as a result of the care they had received they were:

“Likely or Extremely Likely” to recommend Greensleeves Care homes to someone else; this is in sharp contrast to many other care homes.
