Ratings &
accreditations

I am so grateful to the staff at Torkington House for the wonderful care my Mum received during her last few years of life. Mum had always suffered with depression but during her time in the home she became happier than she had been in years because of the love that she received from staff that looked after her. She had never eaten very well and despite 2 years of me trying to find ways to get her interested in eating I was unsuccessful. The team at Torkington House managed to get her eating again and she gained weight and became physically much healthier. The love that they showed my Mum made me cry on a number of occasions and when Mum died, several team members were also in tears – you can tell that they do not see their work as only a job and they form real bonds with the residents. I really cannot speak highly enough of the home and the amazing team that work there – they made my Mum’s last years happier and healthier and allowed her to pass with dignity and love. Thank you all.
