At Greensleeves Care, we pride ourselves on making sure that your or your loved one’s transition to one of our homes is as comfortable as possible. We understand that moving into a care home is a significant step, and for many people, one of the hardest parts can be the thought of leaving a partner behind.
Can couples live in a care home together?
Yes, couples and companions can live together in a care home. At Greensleeves Care, we believe relationships matter, which is why we proudly support couples living together in a care home in a way that works best for them. Choosing to move into a care home is a big decision, and for couples or long-term companions, staying together and maintaining independence is often the most important part of that choice.
Flexible Living Options for Couples
Couples living in a Greensleeves Care Home may choose from a range of living arrangements, such as: Sharing one bedroom – Two rooms within the same home, using one as a bedroom (shared or separate) and one bedroom being used as a private lounge – Separate bedrooms, while still living close together in the same home. Having two rooms can be particularly helpful for couples who wish to bring their own furniture, require specialist equipment, have different sleep routines, or value additional space and privacy.
