A Luxury Care Home in Ipswich
Henley House is one of the most highly regarded residential and Dementia Homes in the Ipswich. The Henley Team and residents transferred from the very highly regarded Thornbank which recently closed down. It enjoys an excellent reputation with the local healthcare professionals.
This puts Henley House in a unique position: it has the very best care provision, activities and quality of life built up over a generation of care service combined with the stunning building and facilities only available in a brand new purpose built care home.
Our families derive a great deal of confidence from how the GPs, District Nurses and other professionals think of us and how much they recommend us as being the best possible local care home. We are also a well respected charity that have a Home for Life Promise, which means we never ask anybody to leave if they run out of money.
The Care Quality Commission have not yet inspected Henley House. This is not unusual because most homes are not inspected in the first 12 months following opening, instead the CQC “keep an eye on these homes” to make sure the home is a happy and safe place to live. Because we transferred the team from Thornbank many of our families and those considering Henley House ask to see Thornbank’s CQC Report, so we have included a link here: Thornbank’s CQC Report.
At Henley House we are really proud that our beautiful care home is not just a hotel but a beautiful home for our residents. Each bedroom is spacious, beautifully furnished and comes with its own en-suite wet room. The home interior is stunning, comfortable and inspiring.
However, it is not the interiors that make Henley House so special, it is the people that work and live there – the care team and your fellow residents. At Henley House, our residents feel comfortable and relaxed as they would do in their own home.
We understand how big a decision moving into a care homes is, so we have made sure we can give you as much information as possible. Why not make contact with us and arrange a virtual visit or have a quick peak below first and then call her and ask all your questions.

All of the funds the charity receives either through care fees or donations is spent directly on the residents’ care or in improving the quality of the homes in which they live.

We believe that everybody is an individual with a rich history and a wealth of life experience. The team use this belief to really get to know each resident. This allows us to support and care for them exactly how they would wish to be cared for. It is this ethos that has ensured they received the Eden Alternative accreditation. Speirs House is the only local home to have achieved this international certification for the care they deliver.
The menu at Henley House is as tasty as it is nutritious. The Head Chef creates the menu in full consultation with the residents.
