Recently redecorated, Arden House offers spacious bedrooms within a characterful Regency home, giving residents a comfortable private space of their own. Many rooms include en-suite facilities, and all come with phone and television points, internet access and space for treasured belongings. Residents are welcome to personalise their bedroom with familiar furniture, photographs and keepsakes, helping it feel like home from the start. With lift access, stairlift support, wheelchair access and thoughtful daily assistance, comfort and independence are supported throughout the home.

At Arden House, our fees are comprehensive and tailored to each resident’s needs. They cover fully-personalised care around the clock, accommodation and furnishings, all meals and utilities, activities and more. And, as we have no shareholders, every penny goes back into care and enhancing our residents’ lives.

We accommodate a range of funding options, including self-funding, local authority support and NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC). We guide individuals and families through the funding process and support residents in staying in care if their private funds deplete.

Yes, Arden House offers respite care and short-term stays, and a no-obligation trial period of up to six weeks for permanent stays. This gives residents time to experience the home, meet the team and settle into daily life before making a longer-term decision. Respite stays include care, meals, activities and support throughout the stay.

How is the transition into care supported?

Before a resident moves in with us, our team takes time to understand their needs, routines, preferences and personality. We create a personalised care plan with family involvement, so support feels familiar from the beginning. During the settling-in period, friendly faces, gentle reassurance and regular communication help residents feel safe, known and at home.

How do you care for residents living with dementia?

Dementia care at Arden House is provided on a dedicated floor, supported by a dedicated manager and a team that understands people living with dementia. We use calm routines, familiar faces and meaningful activities to help residents feel safe and reassured. Care is shaped around each person’s life story, communication needs and daily preferences.

Can residents personalise their bedrooms?

Yes, residents are encouraged to make their bedroom feel like their own. Many bedrooms at Arden House include en-suite facilities, phone and television points, and space for familiar belongings. Residents can bring photographs, keepsakes and small pieces of furniture where suitable, helping their room feel comforting, personal and familiar from the start.

What happens if my funds run out?

Arden House is part of Greensleeves Care, a not-for-profit organisation. Through our Home for Life funding assurance, we work with all parties involved so that if a resident’s personal funds are depleted while living with us, they are supported to stay in the place they call home. This gives families peace of mind that Arden House can remain their home, with care continuing in a familiar, supportive setting.

Arden House is a very caring and welcoming care home. My mum is very happy there and that is incredibly reassuring. From the moment you enter it’s welcoming and helpful. For me there are small things that add to mum’s happiness, one is because I live in London I talk to mum most days on the phone and that has been accommodated with friendliness and secondly a big thank you for labelling the new clothes I bring from time to time. Arden House is spotlessly clean and provides a range of activities for the residents to enjoy. But above all the staff are caring, friendly and helpful. I’m very pleased with our choice.
