Greensleeves Care is delighted to reveal the winners of the Greensleeves Care Awards 2025 – the annual celebration of talent, commitment and innovation across the charity.
Held on Thursday 1 May, the awards ceremony brought together over 230 colleagues from across the Trust, while others tuned in via a live broadcast to share in the celebrations. The event honoured outstanding achievements in compassionate care, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
The winners – spanning roles from care professionals and managers to volunteers and support colleagues – were chosen from among 300 nominations, and reflect the passion and dedication that lies at the heart of the organisation.
Among the headline awards, De Lucy House in Diss was proudly named Home of the Year – a reflection of the team’s continued commitment to creating a warm, inclusive and high-quality living environment for residents. Meanwhile, Margaret Siriwardena, Home Manager at Acton’s Torkington House, received the Manager of the Year award for her inspiring leadership, and Peter Zhanje of The Briars, our home on the Isle of Wight, was recognised as Care Professional of the Year.
Residents and volunteers were also recognised in this year’s accolades, including the residents at Gloucester House in Sevenoaks, who bagged the Sustainability and Innovation award for their impressive 1084-mile virtual fitness challenge.
Chris Doherty, Interim Chief Executive of Greensleeves Care, praised all those recognised:
“The Greensleeves Care Awards 2025 have once again shown the extraordinary talent, dedication and passion that exists across our charity. Every nominee, finalist and winner represents the heart of what we do – providing high-quality, person-centred support, and helping people feel good about care. It has been a privilege to celebrate so many successes, and I continue to be inspired by the efforts of our teams, volunteers and residents every single day.”
