My name is Margaret Siriwardena. I am the manager at Torkington House. My philosophy is one that embraces holistic care.
I pride myself in leading a care team that delivers care that is person-centered. We treat residents dignity, respect and culturally sensitive care. We also extend this approach to residents, family and friends.
Warm environment for residents
I commit myself to provide every resident with a safe, homely and warm environment at Torkington House. Our residents are the most important people on our premises and we are dependent on them. My take personal interest in an active involvement in every aspect of daily life at Torkington House. I create a working environment which will attract, motivate and develop my team. My believe is in having an open, honest and fair approach in everything I do. I have instigated various changes to the home which gives a feeling of homeliness for visitors and residents alike providing a home from home environment.
