Staff and residents at Clarendon Lodge in Rickmansworth are celebrating after winning a prestigious national accolade at an annual event that recognises excellence across care homes in England.
The Greensleeves Care Awards celebrate talent, compassion and innovation from across the not-for-profit group’s homes throughout the country. With over 1,900 employees, the awards honour achievements across a wide range of categories, including outstanding care practice, leadership, teamwork, community engagement, dementia care, and resident wellbeing.
Rated ‘Good’ by the care regulator (CQC), Clarendon Lodge was singled out from among 300 nominations and recognised in the Most Improved Home of the Year category. The award highlights homes that have made significant and sustained progress in the quality of care, environment, team development, and resident experience. The team received a certificate and a cash prize to be spent at the home.
The team at the residential and dementia care home was commended for leading a remarkable journey over the past year, during which the home has implemented numerous positive changes – from enhanced care planning and activities, to energising staff and building stronger engagement with families.
Louise Keegan, Home Manager at Clarendon Lodge, said:
“This award means so much to all of us here. The past year has been about listening, growing, and putting our residents at the heart of everything we do – and this recognition shows we’ve achieved just that. I’m incredibly proud of our team for working together to create a truly vibrant, supportive, and high-quality home.”
