Henley House care home in IpswichHenley House took just over a year to complete with the home due to open in September. The builders, LNT, continued to work uninterrupted throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Henley House is a replacement for the group’s existing home, Thornbank, which Greensleeves Care has operated as a facility for older people since the 1940s. Thornbank will be sold once residents have transferred to the new home.

Henley House contains a superb range of facilities including cinema, sky bar, tea room, garden room, several sociable lounges and dining areas. The home benefits from a great location on the Henley Road and enjoys attractive views across rolling Suffolk countryside. All bedrooms will be well appointed and will offer en-suite facilities, smart TVs, telephone point and Wi-Fi.

Paul Newman, CEO of Greensleeves Care, said:
“Greensleeves Care has always enjoyed an enviable reputation in Ipswich due to the success and popularity of our home, Thornbank. Henley House allows us to double the number of residents we can support in a state-of-the art, purpose-built care setting.

The new home will also create dozens of new jobs, across a variety of roles, expanding our contribution to the local economy. We are keen to hear from people living in the local community who are looking for fulfilling careers within care. Whilst our environments are second to none, it’s our staff team who make our homes the best places to live. We are looking for people who really want to make a difference.”
