The team at Henley House Care Home in Ipswich, with the GSF Accreditation

Henley House, Greensleeves Care home in Ipswich has been recognised with the prestigious Gold Standards Framework (GSF) accreditation for exceptional end-of-life and palliative care. The national award reflects the home’s commitment to delivering compassionate, personalised and dignified support for residents and their families.

A leading non-profit home in town, Henley House provides high-quality residential and dementia care from its bright, modern home on the north side of Ipswich. With spacious lounges, landscaped gardens and a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere, the purpose-built home is well regarded locally for its person-centred approach. As part of Greensleeves Care, all income is reinvested into enhancing the home and supporting outstanding care.

The Gold Standards Framework is a nationally recognised, evidence-based programme designed to improve the quality, consistency and coordination of palliative and end-of-life care. Fewer than 350 care homes across the UK currently hold GSF accreditation, which reflects excellence in helping people to live well and die well – with dignity, choice and respect.

To achieve accreditation, colleagues at Henley House undertook specialist GSF training, compiled a comprehensive portfolio of evidence and participated in an in-person assessment by the national GSF team to demonstrate that best-practice end-of-life care is deeply embedded throughout the home.

Rebecca Bewley, Home Manager at Henley House, said:

“I am incredibly proud of our team for achieving Gold Standards Framework accreditation. This award recognises the compassion and professionalism that our colleagues bring to their work every single day. Families trust us during some of the most sensitive and important moments in life, and we are honoured to provide care that offers comfort, dignity and reassurance. This achievement reflects both our dedication to our residents and our ongoing commitment to raising the standards of care here in Ipswich.”

Henley House joins 18 sister homes across Greensleeves Care that have now achieved GSF accreditation, demonstrating the charity’s commitment to delivering excellence in care nationwide.
