About the role

We are seeking a proactive and supportive Workplace Practice Coach and Trainer to guide and mentor staff working in health and social care environments. This role focuses on developing the skills, confidence, and competence of care staff through direct provision of training, on-the-job coaching, reflective practice, and tailored support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, a passion for developing others, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

As a workplace practice coach and Trainer, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and group practical coaching to staff in the workplace to enhance care delivery and professional development.
  • Where required deliver face to face training or blended face to face/webinar training to support the overall provision of training across the Trust.
  • Support staff in applying theory to practice, promoting person-centred care and best practice standards.
  • Observe and provide feedback on care practices, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate reflective practice sessions and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Work with the Regulation and Compliance Officer to implement learning that has come out of formal processes such as complaints, inspections, safeguarding etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of training, coaching sessions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Promote a positive learning culture and act as a role model for professional behavior and values.
  • To be able to carry out frequent travel nationwide and be able to stay away when the task requires it.

To apply, you will need:

  • PTTLS/AET L3 or equivalent training qualification
  • L3 NVQ/QCF/RQF Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Substantial experience of working in a Health and Social Care setting
  • Experience in delivering high quality training and/or coaching in the workplace
  • Experience working with diverse teams and adapting to different learning needs
  • Knowledge of current health and social care legislation and best practices
  • Knowledge of the care sector, and in particular elderly residential care
  • Excellent presentation skills allowing the trainer to engage with staff at all levels.
  • Competent in using digital tools for training delivery (e.g., webinars)
