At Viera Gray House, the layout of the care home enables residents living with dementia to use the space in a multitude of ways and for different occasions. For the residents who enjoy peace and contemplation, the garden is a great place to relax and watch the coming and goings while enjoying the warmth of the sun. Some residents prefer to sit in the conservatory, others like to watch the news or chat with other residents in the lounges.
Family and friends are welcome to visit the residents at any time. With access to the kitchenettes visitors can make tea and coffee and feel right at home.
Danny Torsoo, Home Manager said: “At Viera Gray House, we understand that each resident is an individual with their own hopes, dreams, wishes, preferences and abilities. We support each person to make their own choices and decisions while appreciating that each day may be different. Staff have a ‘can do’ approach to care, encouraging residents to maintain their independence and individuality for as long as possible.”
