Croxley House Covid-19 Memorial Garden

In March 2021 those who supported the residents of Croxley House began to think about a way to remember and honour those who were lost during the pandemic. It was felt a dedicated place should be created where residents, relatives and staff could reflect on the previous year, and remember loved ones lost to Covid-19. These were the considerations behind creating a Memorial Garden as a place of reflection.

The Memorial Garden is situated next to the old stable block within the grounds of Croxley House, which closed in December 2020. It is a relaxing, calming and understated space, and whether you are family, or a friend of a resident no longer with us, a resident who lost a friend, or a family member who missed spending time with a loved one, we invite you to come along and take a moment to remember and reflect. The Memorial Garden also provides a peaceful space for reflection for the Croxley House staff team who tried hard to keep everyone safe.

If you would like to visit the garden to pay your respects, take a moment to think about anyone lost during the pandemic, or to reflect on the adjustments we all had to make, you are very welcome to do so. Please send an email to CroxleyMemorial@greensleeves.org.uk to arrange your visit.
