Broadacres Care Home in Barton Turf has been named one of the Top 100 Care Homes in the UK and awarded a place in the Top 10 for Best Outdoor Space in the inaugural Lottie Awards 2025, a new national awards programme celebrating excellence in care. Organised by leading care comparison site Lottie.org, the awards highlight the country’s top-performing care homes across categories including environment, lifestyle and resident wellbeing.

Broadacres is the only care home in Norwich to be included in the Top 100, and one of just two in Norfolk to achieve this national recognition – a point of pride for the team and local community.

The home, which already holds the title of being the number 1 non-profit care home in Norwich, became part of charitable care provider Greensleeves Care in February 2024, ushering in a new era of investment, innovation and support. Since then, Broadacres has continued to enhance its warm, personalised approach to care within its beautiful setting in the heart of the Norfolk Broads.

Surrounded by landscaped gardens, peaceful green space and a pond, Broadacres has always been known for its tranquil environment and community spirit. The Lottie Awards spotlight the exceptional work of the care team in creating a place where older people feel safe, valued and truly at home.

Kim Lavery, Home Manager at Broadacres, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be recognised on a national stage – and especially proud to represent Norwich and Norfolk in the Top 100.

“At Broadacres, we’ve worked hard to create an environment that is not only beautiful but also empowering and uplifting. Since joining Greensleeves Care, our commitment to person-centred care has only deepened. This award reflects our belief that care should feel good – for residents, families and staff alike.”

Broadacres provides high-quality residential care, backed by Greensleeves Care’s Home for Life funding assurance, which guarantees residents will never be asked to leave due to financial circumstances.
