Broadlands care home in Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, has recently won Top 20 Care Homes East of England 2019 Award based on reviews from all care homes in East of England on the leading online review site carehome.co.uk.
To put it into perspective, there are 1,690 care homes in East of England, therefore being in the Top 20 place is quite an achievement. The rating was based on the reviews from families and friends of care home residents across the East of England region.
The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards 2019 highlight the most recommended Care Homes in each region of the UK and the Top 20 Care Home Groups in the UK. Additionally, Greensleeves Care which manages Broadlands won the Top 20 Large Care Home Group 2019 Award. This shows how highly families value the person-centred care delivered both at Broadlands and other care homes managed by the care charity.
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of carehome.co.uk, said: “It is only the residents and their families and friends who can give a real insight into what a care home is like, which is why we use their reviews to find the best care homes in the UK. Choosing a care home can be a time consuming and exhausting process so we hope our awards help make the search easier.”
Broadlands, which overlooks the Norfolk Broads, provides a high-quality residential care to 52 residents in a beautiful and homely setting. The home prides itself on delivering a person-centred care and is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. The care home is part of Greensleeves Care, an award-winning care charity which provides highly innovative and personalised care for older people in its residential, dementia and nursing homes across England.
Anne Maas, Home Manager at Broadlands, said: “We are all delighted we have won this award, it is testament to all our hardworking staff who all go the extra mile and put our residents first. We are very lucky to have wonderful residents, supportive families and friends, staff and volunteers that make our home outstanding.”
