Harleston House would like to invite you to celebrate the Care Home Open Day with our residents and staff. The theme of this year’s event is celebrating Arts in Care.
Running up to the Open Day, pupils from a local high school have been working on an arts project in the home’s garden and they will be supported on the Open Day to show their masterpiece. They will be painting their picture onto the garden wall with ideas related to the town.
Harleston House has also been working with Creative Mojo on a special arts project. After the Open Day, the home will showcase their art on post cards of our art work which will be available for purchase at the care home.
On Friday 28th June, the home has organised a Punch and Judy show at 10.30am for all the little children from the local nursery and for the wide community to attend and enjoy. Following this, the home will have a viewing session with some old Victorian toys that were used in the old days of Punch and Judy.
In the afternoon at 2pm, we will have a Pottery and Clay making session in our home, which will give residents and visitors the opportunity to get creative and make some art of their own.
We look forward to welcoming you on Friday 28th June.
