We are looking for individuals to join our team at Torkington House as a Senior Carer.  The role is full time, 35 hours per week.

The successful candidate will assist with ensuring that all care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home and the creation of the right atmosphere.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they can lead, facilitate and participate in staff meetings, staff training, supervision, appraisal and development activities. The successful candidate will also carry out supervision and induction of designated staff as required.

You will have responsibility in helping to control the issue of drugs for which the Home has taken responsibility, to maintain the necessary records and to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the systems for administering medication.

You will have Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification. An understanding of the needs of residents and proven experience in the safe administration of medication. You will also have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
