Kitchen Assistant – part time

Here at Gloucester House in Sevenoaks, we have an opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Department.

The purpose of the role is to assist the cooks in the preparation of a healthy diet for the residents within the home and to assist with general kitchen duties.

Whether it’s your first step back into employment, or you’re looking for a new challenge to fit your lifestyle, we’re happy to support you to develop your skills.

Hours of work:  8 hours per week; 4pm  – 8pm, (or 5pm – 9pm); every Wednesday and alternate weekends.

When you join us as a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in the success of the care home. That’s why we’re looking for someone who’s committed to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and during the food preparation process. You should be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach.

Formal qualifications aren’t necessary, although any similar experience gained in a care setting would be useful.

You will be required to participate in all mandatory training.
