Greensleeves Care is currently recruiting for a Health & Safety and Maintenance Services Coordinator  to join our quality and compliance team.

Purpose of the role:

To support the Trust in ensuring our care homes are maintained to a good quality standard and inspected in accordance with regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conducting home visits, overseeing maintenance work, and ensuring equipment servicing by contractors.
  • Support homes during staff absences, assist with new maintenance operative inductions, and promote health & safety.
  • Perform audits, report issues, and coordinate with consultants for essential surveys.
  • Assist with risk assessments and develop standardized procedures for maintenance tasks.
  • Provide emergency support and contribute to the planning of new builds or refurbishments.
  • Attend training and meetings as required by the Health & Safety Manager.

What you will need to succeed in this role

Essential:

  • A trade or similar qualification and/or experience in maintaining buildings.
  • Experience in carrying out repairs, decoration, basic plumbing and carpentry.
  • Experience in Fire systems checks and other statutory checks, along with associated record keeping to a good standard.
  • Able to undertake physical work, carrying and lifting.
  • Experience with overseeing contractors on site.
  • Able to work at height and use equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of working to Health & Safety rules and compliance with legislation

Desirable

  • Use of own vehicle to travel to homes and ability to drive the company vehicles, including minibus – subject to age and licence categories.
  • Experience of working in the care industry
