Greensleeves  Care Homes requires a Bookkeeper at Whitegates in Hastings

Competitive salary

16 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Whitegates Care Home for a Bookkeeper, working 16 hours per week. This role is a key position in the Home which combines preparing and keeping records of financial information for use by the Registered Manager and Head Office with providing a payroll  service for the Home. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with experience of book keeping looking to work in the not-for-profit sector.

Candidates should have strong numeracy and communication skills, and must have experience both of working in an office and of having carried out manual and/or electronic book keeping. Experience of using Microsoft applications is also required. Relevant qualifications in book keeping are not essential, nor is experience of having worked in a care home – although both would be preferred.

Whitegates Care Home is part of Greensleeves Care Homes, a “not-for-profit” charitable organisation providing residential care throughout the south of England. The aim of the organisation is to supply care and support in a way that takes into account individual needs and respects the rights of residents to continue to choose how to live their lives. The Head Office is based in London, but each individual Home retains its own character and is responsible for its residents’ day to day requirements.

To apply for this role please download an application pack from www.greensleeves.org.uk/jobs

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Clint Farmer, Registered Manager on 01424 754865 or email: clint.farmer@greensleeves.org.uk The closing date for this post Friday 26th April.

Interviews will take place on Friday 3rd May.

The successful applicant will be appointed subject to a POVA check and an enhanced DBS check. This post is not subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Greensleeves Care Homes  is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
