The home has recently been extended and has been completely refurbished and renovated at a cost of several million pounds. As well as new bedrooms, there is a new dining room, two lounges and a quiet room. The home now specialises in the care of older people with dementia. It has recently been extended and has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme.

Accommodation

Harleston House has a total of 39 bedrooms. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities and are fully furnished to a high standard. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. The rooms are also equipped with a call bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. A pay phone is available but residents may have a telephone in their room at their expense.

Dining

Our catering team is committed to providing interesting and nutritional meals. Residents are offered a varied menu for each meal, with a choice of tasty and well presented food. Residents may eat in the dining room or take meals in their rooms if desired. All medical and special diets are catered for.

Staffing

A qualified and experienced Manager and team provide 24 hour management cover for the home, and they are ably supported by care assistants, catering and domestic staff.

Facilities

The home is bright and spacious. There are three comfortable lounges for residents as well as a function room. There is a pleasant well laid out garden with full access. The home arranges a regular programme of activities, outings and trips for the residents. There are also visits by a hairdresser and chiropodist.
